Isaac Smith - Artist - Doubt... an Oil Painting

As an artist trying to make a living, I go through many emotions and I portray a couple of them in Doubt and Anxiety.

Doubt: "will someone like my work? No one will buy my painting." These are thoughts that come up and I feel closed in, confined. I have been inspired by the human figure with its expressive qualities and chose a pose that showed the emotions I have felt. The pose is closed in on itself with the figure's gaze looking into a narrowing background. Upon completion of this painting, I sat and looked at all the emotions poured out on the canvas and cried.

Doubt is 48" by 48".
